Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of KWAL Cabinet Studio, the web application available at app.kwal.design (the "Service"), and this website at kwal.design. By creating an account or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

1. Who we are

The Service is operated by KWAL design, Sollenberg 37, 1654 Huizingen, Belgium, VAT number BE 0865 626 812 ("we", "us"). You can reach us at hello@kwal.design.

2. The Service

KWAL Cabinet Studio is a parametric cabinet design application. It lets you design cabinets in 3D and 2D, compose room layouts, and export production files such as cut lists (CSV), CNC drawings (DXF) and PDF project dossiers. Designing is free; generating certain exports requires credits or an active subscription as described on our Pricing page.

3. Accounts

You need an account to save projects and purchase credits. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials confidential and for all activity under your account. You must provide accurate information and be at least 18 years old, or use the Service under supervision of someone who is.

4. Purchases — Lemon Squeezy as Merchant of Record

All purchases of credits and subscriptions are processed by Lemon Squeezy, LLC ("Lemon Squeezy"), acting as Merchant of Record. This means that when you buy credits or a subscription:

  • your contract of sale for that purchase is with Lemon Squeezy, which resells the product under license from us;
  • Lemon Squeezy handles payment processing, collects and remits applicable VAT / sales tax, and issues your invoice;
  • Lemon Squeezy's terms apply to the payment transaction, in addition to these Terms which govern your use of the Service itself.

We never receive or store your full payment details.

5. Credits and subscriptions

  • Doc Credits are consumed when you export PDF or CSV documents.
  • Pro Credits are consumed when you export DXF files and may also be used for any document export.
  • Subscriptions include unlimited document exports and a monthly allowance of Pro Credits for the duration of the subscription. Subscriptions renew automatically each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • Credits are tied to your account, are non-transferable, and have no cash value. Credits do not expire.
  • Re-exports: each paid export includes up to two (2) free re-exports of the same project within five (5) days of the original export. Re-exports are intended for minor corrections (e.g. fixing a dimension or a typo). Where a project has been substantially redesigned into a different piece of furniture, we may treat the re-export as a new export and decline the free allowance.

6. Digital goods and delivery

Credits, subscriptions and generated export files are digital goods. Delivery is immediate: credits are added to your account upon successful payment, and export files are generated on demand. Before spending a credit, you can review a complete on-screen preview of the export in the app, so you know exactly what you are paying for. By purchasing, you expressly consent to immediate delivery of the digital content and acknowledge that, to the extent permitted by law (including Article VI.53, 13° of the Belgian Code of Economic Law and the EU Consumer Rights Directive), you lose your right of withdrawal once the digital content has been delivered or consumed. 7. License to use the Service

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the Service for designing cabinets and generating production files, for both commercial and personal projects. You may not:

  • resell, sublicense or provide the Service to third parties as a service;
  • reverse engineer, copy or create derivative works of the Service;
  • circumvent credit accounting, usage limits or technical restrictions;
  • use the Service for unlawful purposes or upload malicious content.

8. Your designs and exports

You retain all rights to the designs you create and the files you export. We claim no ownership over your projects. You grant us the technical permissions needed to store and process your project data in order to provide the Service (see our Privacy Policy).

9. Accuracy disclaimer — check before you cut

The Service generates dimensions, cut lists and machine files automatically from your input. While we work hard to make these outputs accurate, you remain responsible for verifying all dimensions, materials and machine files before cutting, ordering or manufacturing. We are not liable for material waste, production errors or costs arising from unverified use of generated files.

10. Availability and changes

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. We may modify, add or remove features. If a change materially reduces the value of an active paid subscription, you may cancel and request a pro-rata refund for the unused period.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim arising out of or relating to the Service is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the twelve (12) months preceding the claim. We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, including lost profits or lost production time. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for intent, gross negligence, or any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, and nothing affects your statutory rights as a consumer.

12. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms. Upon termination for violation, unconsumed credits may be forfeited; otherwise we will honour the Refund Policy.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will announce material changes via the Service or by e-mail. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

14. Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Belgian law. Disputes will be submitted to the competent courts of Brussels, Belgium, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules that grant you the courts of your place of residence. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform.
